anufacturer based in Maranello, Italy. Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, as Scuderia Ferrari, the company sponsored drivers and manufactured race cars before moving into production of street-legal vehicles as Ferrari S.p.A. in 1947. Throughout its history, the company has been noted for its continued participation in racing, especially in Formula One, where it has had great success.

The horse Ferrari logo has its origins in the First World War, It was the mascot of the flying squadron of the Italian ace Francesco Baracca. He was killed in the war. After seeing Enzo Ferrari race, Baracca’s mother asked Ferrari to honor her son by displaying her son’s mascot on his car.
The first car to wear the Ferrari horse was an ALFA Romeo P3, as Enzo Ferrari was the manager of the ALFA Romeo racing team. This is the first time ALFA Romeo car using Ferrari logo.
Now with the Ferrari 485 supercar, this Ferrari logo become one of the most famous image in the word.
